War Memorials

There are two memorials at Christ Church, Belper. Those lost in the First World War are commemorated inside on a stone tablet on the north wall. The memorial for those lost in World War Two is outside at the base of the large wooden image of the crucified Christ.

Christ Church’s war dead are remembered by name on Remembrance Sunday every year and in 2014, to mark the centenary of the outbreak of WW1, the play Remembrance was staged by Christ Church Youth Group.
